What should I know about filling the dumpster? To start, regardless of the refuse type, we ask that you are filling the dumpster evenly throughout. This means that you should not be filling your dumpster unevenly. If one end of the waste container is filled higher than the other, we would not be able to load the unit back onto our flatbed. There is a door on each dumpster that can be utilized to make sure that you are filling that open-top order evenly throughout.
What about filling a dumpster with general refuse? If you are going to be disposing of general household and construction debris, please fill your dumpster until the refuse is level with the height of the walls. Anything higher than this and by law we would not be allowed on the road with the unit. Make sure there is no debris that is sticking out higher than the dimensions of the waste container.
What about heavy debris? If you are going to be disposing of heavy debris, please do not fill the dumpster any more than halfway. This is due to the incurred weight of these substances. Heavy debris filled higher than halfway will typically be over the weight requirement and result in a fee being assessed to your account when we go to weigh the dumpster during disposal. Also, please do not mix various forms of heavy debris. Heavy debris must be the only thing in your dumpster, and there should only be one type of heavy debris in each dumpster that you have rented.
